button center flowers for Your Paper Pantry August swap
Hello friends!
Today with my creative mojo in full throttle ahead, I made these adorable flowers with button centers for the your paper pantry AAugust flower swap.
The top flower is made using a dryer sheet the other three flowers are made using dies from my Sizzix die collection. I used the green buttons I had on hand.
The bird is a retired bird with vine also from Sizzix. I used my Accucut Grand Marc machine to cut out the bird cage from one of their dies. I used lightweight chipboard covered in decorative paper. I really like the details and how pretty this piece came together.
Now to create a small hostess gift and it will go postal most likely next week.
I hope you guys will give this project a try. It was easy to do and I really had a great time with the creative process.

Craig Allan James -- The story of an indited Child Pornography stupid head
He looks like any other 23 year old kid. To look at him you wouldn't even think that this now grown man could screw up his life to the degree he has.
On July 11,2011 we where greeted early in the morning by a full blown SWAT team, Department of Homeland security and ICE (Institution for missing and exploited children) with a search warrant.
It was hours before we even where told why they where there. They ceased computers, hard drives, thumb drives. If you think for one minute that you have privacy on the Internet you'd be wrong.
Craig was originally arrested and charged in January on one count possession and one count of distribution. Together they carry a mandatory 30 years in prison. If the case does not go before a jury or they accept a plea he will be in prison a minimum of 6 years. If it goes to a Jury we are looking at 92-120 years.
With that said, my heart goes out to the mother of the man who randomly shot those individuals at the movie theater. I do know how she feels while shaking her head and trying to wrap her mind around the one question that will never have an answer "WHY"?
My heart just grieves. Sentencing will not be until late November. I may be a geographical widow at that time. I hope that I can some how come to terms with the actions of my son. I raised him with a high moral compass, rules, regulations and Jesus. It is his decision not to learn, obey or follow the general rules of good conduct and morality.
Please if you have questions, send me an private email so I can address any concerns or details of questions you may have. Email is Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com
Just be a blessing today, you never know what a kind word can really mean to a troubled and hurting heart!

queen Kat on Tuesday -- charmed I'm sure
I stamped this image from Queen Kat onto shrink film, colored it from the opposite side with copic markers hole punched it and shrank it. I attached it to this key chain for an attractive purse pull or charm for your cell phone or camera.
This project only took 10 minutes to complete. Making it fast, easy and most importantly fun!
On a side note, for those wonderful folks who are emailing me, our family is fine. Craig (oldest stupid-head) will be re-indited in Federal Court in Baltimore on Wednesday. He is facing serious charges and serious prison time. I will be posting soon the details but until then just keep us in thoughts and prayers.

Charming swap and power update!
Miss me yet?!
We lost power on Friday July 3, 2013 and it was not restored until late on Wednesday.
Once power was restored I went full force to catch up on the massive mountain of laundry and house work that needed completion.
Our family was very fortunate. We have a generator that we used to run our two refrigerators. With the excessive heat, we purchased a small air conditioning unit which we ran on the main level of our home. We also slept on our hide-a-bed sofa to keep as cool as possible with the given circumstances.
It was difficult to not have power for this amount of time, however we got through the ordeal.
I normally do not join charm swaps, but I really loved the idea of using puzzle pieces as charms. I used my Accucut die puzzle for the shape the charm is attached to. It is from the camp activities die set. The charms are cut from shrinky dink brand plastic stamped on one side, alcohol inked on the opposite side and then shrank with a heat tool.
I used a Hero arts bugs and insects stamp set with Staz on Ink for the small puzzle pieces. These where cut with the retired sizzix puzzle piece die.
The beads where purchased from my local craft store. I used #20 gauge wire for the actual charm.
