Hostess gift share

Hi Friends,

I made this adorable hostess gift for a swap I am in on Your Paper pantry.  It is only $12.00 a year to join the group and enjoy some wonderful swaps.  I really enjoy the group and swaps.  There are some wonderful hostess' and fun groups to join.

Even if you are a new paper crafter or swapper, there is something you can find to participate in doing.  So many new things to learn and experiment with.  I am joining the flower swap for the first time, I've been a member of the group for over a year and decided to give it a try.

Please pray for our family.  I would appreciate you lifting us all up before the Lord.  There are many issues at work and all of them need to be taken before his thrown.

OK, enough of that -- here is the video slide show of today's project.  Stamp Happy and BE A BLESSING!

Maria Divine by Nora Basset -- queen Kat beautiful image!

I hope you have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  We look in honor to our fallen men and women, we are thankful for those who have served our country honorably and for those who stand in harm's way to protect us in the current.

I bet you didn't know that my great-great grand mother was a full blooded Cherokee Indian Princess.  That is where I get my dark olive skin (at least in summer) and my dark brown hair (OK it used to be brown).

Did you know that Queen Kat has special offers and discounts for her customers?  Well, you have to go check out her store front for more ideas and great value on your stamps.  I love being part of this ever growing dynamic team of wonderful artists.

Have a great day, Stamp Happy and be a blessing!

Queen Kat Charm and Wine Glass Charm swap

What a fantastic time I have had making my wine glass charms for a swap on Your Paper pantry!  I used my shrinky dink plastic and stamps to make them.

They are not difficult to do nor do they take much time.  I do all of my stamping, then coloring, then cutting and then the shrinking all in an assembly line style.  It saves time and the results are just stunning.

Each of the charms was punched with the large Crop a dile punch before shrinking.  I hope you will give this project a try.  I bought the wine glass charm rings from my local craft store and the beads are fro my personal collection.  Have a great day!

Banner and Journal -- beautiful

Video Slide show:

I am just so very honored today.  Not only have I completely finished two projects but I was also able to get some much needed kitchen cleaning time in.

It is just the most beautiful weather here in southern Maryland.  I couldn't help but sit on our new porch with a nice glass of white wine.  It was just the un-wind that my very spirit needed.

These projects are not hard to complete, I used patterned paper from my stash.  Most of it is from K and Company.  I just love their floral papers.  They are easy to match with the card stock I already own. It is a great way to use what you already have.

Have a great day, Stamp Happy and be a blessing!

Banner riffic for Kris

I made this beautiful banner for my sister in law, Kris.  I haven't spoken with her in ages.  I really love my husband's sisters, I feel as they are my sisters as well.

I have been on a mission to provide each of them with at least one home-made treat.  When I finished Deb's banner I officially had the "banner bug".  So I decided to make Kris one as well.

I will be working on the one for Laurie in the next few days.  I used paper from my hoarding vault.  The chipboard is light weight and I had been gifted a case of it (450 sheets) from my dear Deb.  That *might* last me a while....

I have a die order that is supposed to be here on Thursday.  I have ordered the licence plate die along with a couple of others but am desperate for a new acrylic cutting mat. Mine is so chewed up, I am waiting for it to break.

This project is not a hard one to make.  The letters are cut from my sizzix retired fun serif set.  The butterflies are stamped onto shrinky dink plastic colored with various copic markers and then cut out and shrank down.  I purposely put the "I" a bit backwards to add some whimsy.

The ribbon and other supplies are also from my supplies.  I hope you will give this a try and show me your creations.

Maria Divine by Nora Basset -- queen Kat

How beautiful is this stamp?  She is Maria Divine and she is a stamp from Queen Kat.  The image is drawn by the wonderful artist Nora Basset.  I just love the lines and value of this stamp.  It was extremely easy to color, but believe it or not it took 14 copic markers to get teh job done.

I wanted to respect the native american feel of this stamp and put the card together with rich earth tones.  It is a very simple layout.  The sentiment is one from hero arts that is stamped with versa mark ink and embossed using sterling silver embossing powder.

I hope you will check out the wonderful Queen Kat site and have fun shopping!  Stamp Happy be a blessing!

A Banner project with video slideshow.

This was not a difficult banner to make, as I already know the recipient's favorite colors.  I went with my big shot pro die for the rosettes.  So fun.  It took about 2 hours to complete, most of that was drying time.  I hope you will give this type of project a try, They are so fun to do.

MFT I want to hold your hand -- Happy Mother's day!

Happy Mother's day!

It is just the  most beautiful day here in southern Maryland!

My precious husband, Mike is fixing me a wonderful lunch.  I had requested instead of going out that he and Chad make me some garlic Shrimp with alfredo sauce.  Yumm.  Mike has already prepared the shrimp and garlic and it is marinating.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I love the current design team call sketch for My Favortie thing stamps.  The lay out is simple but the clean lines and all of the wonderful layers make the card fun and easy to put together.

I paper pieced her little dress and used the new dienamic die of the paper dolls holding hands.  It is just adorable.  I will be submitting this card for possible publication.

Have a great day!  Stamp happy and be a blessing!

The Cutting Room Floor -- a new Die cut Swap

 "The cutting room floor"

This group is for individuals who would like to swap die cuts in a round robin fashion. These swaps generally move slowly as many people handle the package.

Once all slots are filled (From 6 to 8 people) The moderator will put the names in a hat and choose the person who will start off the swap. All names and address' are kept by the moderator and will only be released to the next person in line.I do not keep address' from one group to another. This is done mainly to protect identity and privacy.

This swap is designed for individuals who own a steel rule die cutting system, such as Wizzard, Accucut,Big shot, etc., Cricut and electronic cutters swap in the Criketeers.

Acceptable materials to cut from:

Chipboard (clean)
Manila
Card stock
Metal- (not sharp)
canvas

Size of die cut What the "Starter" will be cutting initially.

Large 6" or larger Cut six sets of three different dies

Medium 3 to 5 " Cut eight sets of three different dies

Small <3" Cut twelve sets of three different dies

** NO light weight pattern paper please

Take out as many or as few items as you would like. Keep the package for a week or so so you get all out that you would like to have. Once you have pulled out what you want, replace it with the same or similar size die cuts, the same number for each that you removed. These replacement die cuts should go into the package inside a zip type baggie with your name on it, the name of the die and the size.

When preparing die cuts, please keep pets and cigarette smoke away from these items. We all love our pets and some of us enjoy cigarettes, however the person(s) who receive the swap may not feel the same way. For example I am so highly allergic to cats that her eyes swell shut and she has trouble breathing. Many people find cigarette smoke smell to be offensive.

If you are looking for a specific die cut, please contact the moderator and she will try and find some one with the die and arrange a one on one swap.

If you are unable to provide a postal confirmation code, do not join the swap. Every person in the group is required to send the package to the next person with this information posted to the group.

With any group, communication is key. Please "friend" the moderator. With ANY group swap you participate in, please make sure to follow the threads so you are on top of any changes.

Sew Crafty! a Your Paper Pantry Swap

Hi Friends, you have to check out my favorite online group!  Your Paper Pantry. Click HERE!

I had such a good time making these. So you just asked well, Loretta, what are these?

They are actually bags to store what ever you want inside, like socks, lingerie, etc., You make three and get three different ones in return.  I actually plan to store some of my laces and trims in the ones I receive back.

I messed up the first one I tried so I started over.  The sewing process was very simple, just a running stitch with the machine.  I embellished some with trims, ribbons and flowers from my stash.  It was a great opportunity to be able to use up supplies I would otherwise be hoarding.

Speaking of hoarding, I will be co-moderating the stash diet challenge on Your Paper Pantry as well.  I hope you will check it out.  It is only $12.00 a year to join.  That is only $1.00 a month.  Well worth the fee.  Great people, fun swaps and new stuff to try and do every month.

MFTGUESTDT0612

When I first saw this sketch on the MFT website, I just had to try it.  I just love the way the bold green and black work with this precious image.  I used my copic markers to color the focal image.

Since the little girl is wearing her favorite bee outfit, it seemed to be calling for the extra touch of a butterfly.  This butterfly is from my personal collection.

To create the 3D effect, stamp the butterfly onto clear shrink plastic using staz on black ink.  Cut out and shrink according to manufacture directions.

Once the piece has shrunk down and is still warm, bend the wings upward so it appears to be flying.

I do have a video tutorial for this project on my youtube channel.  I hope you will give it a try.

Have a great Tuesday. Stamp happy and be a blessing!

Queen Kat Alisha Closeup by Myka Lelinda

  http://youtu.be/dgaIVVsaBc0

This is a simple slider card.  Beate from Splitcoast stampers has a wonderful instruction to how to make this type of a card in the video above.  I hope you'll enjoy this technique and give it a try.

I loved coloring this image.  I love the clean details and how easily the final project came together.  The slider did not want to work properly.  After a  bit of fussing and coaxing it finally came together.

To keep this interesting, I have decided to give this card away.  Please leave comments on this post for a chance to win it.  Please keep in mind I can not track packages out side of the USA so, please be patient.  I have known packages that are going to our sister country Canada to take several weeks.

Please visit the Queen Kat store and blog! The information is on the sidebar of my blog.   Please let your friends know of this give away so we can get great participation!

Stamp Happy and above all be a BLESSING!
