Orange you glad for Orange?!

Just a quick Sunday Post!

It is a rainy colder Sunday than we have here in Southern Maryland in a while. We need and are thankful for this rain.  Our yard is in full bloom.

We have a Camilla bush that we have transplanted three times since we purchased it over 5 years ago.  This precious bush hasn't done well at all.  The last time Mike moved it was last spring, and this year, she has more than a dozen beautiful pink blossoms.  So pretty.

One last project for Deb's box.  I have been collecting some things for several weeks to send off. The box is 20" X 10"X10".  It weighs about 25 pounds.  I might have gotten a bit carried away with this one.

I hope you have a quiet day filled with things you love to do and create.  Stamp happy be a blessing!

Swaps received and projects

Hi Friends!

It is the weekend! Don't you just love down time to play?! I sure do.

I found this adorable butterfly mini basket at my local craft store, it was $1.00 and I had to have it.  I used it for my sew crafty April swap.  I've made two pin cushions one from a box and the other above.

I received my wonderful swap from Vanessa today as well.  She sent along some really fun crafty stuff as well.

Sorry about the visual clutter around Lexie, but she had come over to check out what mom was munching on and I couldn't help but take a picture of our sweet little lady.

My sweet hubby Michael has been working in our yard and getting our planting beds ready.  We are expecting some bad weather this weekend and colder, I hope it dosn't affect our veggies.

I am hoping to keep a garden journal with pictures this year. We'll see how it goes, I often set my mind to such things and they fall to the way side because of unforseen circumstances.

Have a great weekend, Stamp Happy, be a blessing!

Enabler Alert!! Divine twine, stamps, and more!!

Isn't this great??!!

OK it comes in 12 yummy colors. Here is the best part of this, there are 240 yards on a roll. Yup you read that correctly 240 yards.  Now that's what I call baker's twine.  The cost is $15.00 per roll, US.

Washi tape is $5.00 many of them are two for $5.00.  They carry stamps, accessories and much more. Prices are way reasonable.  Shipping was also reasonable.  I had a blast shopping. What made it even better for me was that the site takes pay pal.

  What is this magical site?

http://www.cutetape.com/ .  I do not get anything for telling you guys about the site, It was actually my sister in law, Deb who sent it to me.  I also have great sources for chipboard in bulk -- also great prices. Email me directly at Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com and I'll share that information with you.

Don't forget today is the last day to enter the 400  you tube subbies. Go rate, comment and subscribe; http://www.youtube.com/iwannastamp

PS-- for that "person" who is apparently Jealous of me and my blog, first off jealousy is an ugly emotion. I feel for you.  I will pray that your self confidence is increased and that you find peace in your life and heart.  I have my comments moderated and actually put your weird, mean and odd comment in my spam folder.  I guess it is like my momma used to say, "if you can not say something nice, say nothing at all".  I hope whom ever you are that you can have a successful life.Lastly, grow up. This only applies to two to six people.  this is just my two cents. Please be kind to one another.

My Favorite things stamp Summer Card

Hi friends!

I must really love the My Favorite things stamps.  Click here to go shopping.  I even have an outstanding order that I am currently waiting for.

I used this whimsical little girl image for the focal point of the card.  The finished card measures 5 1/2" square.  I love the contrast of the patterned paper with the black card stock.  The inside of the card was finished using white card base the "happy summer" Sentiment and the same patterned papers I used on the front of the card.

I will be including this adorable card as part of my 400 subbie give away.  Don't forget this will end late tomorrow, so go leave comments on my You Tube channel, or any where on this blog. You can enter as many times in as many places as you wish.  Good luck!

Why I could say "SH*T" and not pay the swear jar --

Here is the finished mini cigar box that will be included with the 400 subbies give away.  I am pleased with how it turned out.  It only took a few minutes to finish up.

Today, you know one of "those" days.  The kind that doesn't even start off well. First of all I woke up in a bit startled.  Not sure what I was even dreaming about.  That should have been my first clue to just stay in bed.  But, no the  diligent wife and mom has stuff to do.

So I toddle down to the kitchen grab breakfast (the home made granola and milk is so good).  So far so good.  Then I get to the basement and do my big girl business.  Disaster, I heard glup.glup.glup. Not a good sign. called the county and waited it wasn't clogged between the main and our shut off.  Great, now I have to try (again) to plunge.  No good.  For one thing the smell of poo is disgusting, I did say the S*** word several times and don't feel like I owe that swear jar a cent.  Come on -- really?

The only great part of my day was a quick run to hobby lobby where I picked up the new spellbinders Springy sprockets.  They are huge, hoping they'll shrink well.  Yup me and my shrink plastic.

So now that the plumber has fixed the toilet, I am ready for a nice quiet night un interrupted by any type of crap.    Enjoy your evening.  Stamp Happy be a blessing.

Another Item for the 400 Subscriber give-away!

Hi Friends!

It has been a beautiful day here in Southern Maryland.  The weather is clear and sunny. Warm enough to have the house opened up all day and take advantage of that by cleaning the oven.

When I made the granola some of it fell to the bottom causing a mess.  So a quick self-clean and all is again well.

The journal above is now part of the 400 subbies give away.  I used Jillie Bean Soup paper, ribbon, spellbinder and My Favorite things stamps and dies.  The project took only about an hour to complete.  I will be including some of the scraps from this project so the recipient can embellish it to their desire.

Now I would really like to know who left the "we're stampers too!" note on my windshield yesterday.  My Maryland vanity tag reads "STAMPER". I was touched and surprised by the gesture.

Have a great Monday.  Stay tuned to this channel for more exciting things!

A tour of my craft room -- with a video & Pictures

What a busy day.  The final preparation's for the appraisal tomorrow are almost complete.  Little things that need to be done, but can be done quickly.

I actually shot two video's today. (March 12,2012) and I also took the time to do a bit of crafting.  Those wobbles I made are calling my name.

Following Roxy's recipe I made my own granola.  I didn't have the salt free nuts, so I used a jar of salted mixed nuts and didn't add any salt to my recipe.  Oh the heavenly smell of the house.  I don't have a cookie sheet with sides, so I improvised and used a piece of foil over my cookie sheet.  That worked just great.  Chad even enjoyed the granola.  It should be cool enough now to put away.  I've ordered some more raw, unsalted nuts and some rice flower from Nuts dot com.  Their shipping is reasonable and they are highly recommended by several other girls I've seen on YouTube.

Thanks Enastasia for letting me know your source for the goodies that go into the granola.  I can see how this would make a nice gift. I used honey instead of molasses in my recipe. So wonderful to eat just like they are. Tomorrow it will be my breakfast cereal.

Enjoy the video!  Stamp Happy, be a blessing!

Random Act of Kindness cigar box.

Hello my crafty Friends!

I am so thrilled to have had a little extra "me" time today.  I actually started the cigar box project last night.  I had the box in my collection and couldn't resist but to make it as a Random Act of Kindness gift.

It was plain luck that I got this shot.  It was actually taken from the opposite direction, hence the watermark being upside down.  The light was just perfect.  Instead of using two butterflies to make a 3D one I chose to do just one layer and bend up the wings.  When I snapped the picture it cast a shadow.  A perfect shadow.

I wish you guys could see it in person, it is really beautiful  I used my Lindsay's stamp gang glimmering mist for this project.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. The butterfly was made from Shrinky dink plastic.  I filled it with almond chocolate candy and lace.  I hope the person who will receive this likes it!

Have a great day, I need to get my hustle on and clean my house.  We are in the process of saving ourselves some money by re-financing our home.  The appraisal is next Tuesday.  I want this house to just glow.

Bunny Hop

Hi friends!

I spent all of my day yesterday on a quest for a bunny.  I have joined the Stick pin swap on Your Paper pantry.

I found a bunny on sale at Joanne's but didn't like her attire. So I stripped her naked and layered on some lace. It is my first attempt to dress a bunny, and she isn't all bad.

I made the stick pins in the video.  Two use large 5" hat pins.  They are adorned with beads shaped like spring things.  So much fun to work with.

I hope to get this package postal this week.  I am not promicing as my schedule for the next few days is very tight.

I hope you will join some fun swaps.  PLEASE READ THIS PART:

I am nearly at 400 subscribers on youtube.  When I reach that mark I will do a youtube give away.  Help me reach my goal. I am thrilled 400 people subscribe to my channel and watch the videos.

Have a great day, Stamp Happy be a blessing.

Gifts from friends and a card for my friend Video Slide show.

Accucut will soon be in the house!  I have a few new dies coming in this week.  I wanted to make a payment to the friend I am buying them from and the darn Paypal wants over $10.00 for their "cut".  I think not.  I'll get out the check book, dust it off and send her the money that way.

I love this stamp from My Favorite things, click here.  She is a pure innocence image.  I adore the saying.  I kept the card simple.  It measures 5 1/2" square.  I used my dies from Spellbinders and dienamics from MFT.

Several months ago, Phyllis and Candace came to visit me. These ladies are incredible.  We did some crafting and they brought me the beautiful goodies in the video slide show.  Thank you ladies!  I hope we can do this again soon! Please excuse me for being so tardy.

Have a great Sunday!  Stamp happy, be a blessing.

Hostess gift

__
__
Hi Friends!!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some crafty time!

I am enjoying some time this month participating in several swaps.  I am in love with the swap Jonnie has on Your Paper Pantry. The name of the swap is "Tag bags"

I used my Accucut Balloon die for this project.  I cut the balloons out of patterned paper and attached them to a light chipboard base.  I made five tags.  Each took me about 45 minutes to complete.  You spend a bunch of time waiting for glue to dry for this project.

The banner is also cut from a die, Stampin Up Sizzix banner die.  I cut it also from light chipboard and patterned papers.  It is finished with Wild Orchid Craft flowers, bling, Lindsey's glimmer mist and items from my personal collection.
