Isn't just amazing how you can turn ordinary household items into art?
Felicia one of the members on Your Paper Pantry is the person who came up with the idea of altering mouse traps. You can find her you tube channel here. I hate mice and mouse traps. I will admit that I loved doing these projects.
First I disabled the mousetrap by lifting the "killing" spring and having my husband snip it close so it didn't scratch anyone. Then I removed the trap setting wire. This left the part that kills the mouse, and the small hook on the bottom of the trap. I also took off the platform that you put the bait on.
Once this was finished it was time for some prep. I used gesso, about 3 coats on each trap to start, then I started the altering. It is not a difficult process and even a beginner could do this, I will tell you patience is a virtue as this takes time, drying times and the forever ringing phone.
I hope you will give this project a try. Stamp Happy be a blessing!
