Make Shift Slide -- Squiggle fly -- Happy Summer!

Happy Summer!

Hi friends, I hope everyone has started to enjoy time outside and some down time from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.

Bringing the practicle back into our crafty life, I've made this adorable post it holder/calender.  I used two coasters that I got for FREE from my local favorite bar.  I covered them with decorative paper and printed out my image.

Please when you print your digital images from home, take a few minutes to heat set the image.  You will be pleased with the results.  There are so many fun images to be purchased at Squigglefly, take advantage of them! Below is a slide show of this project:

I colored the images using my copic markers.  I trimmed it very close and matted it onto a light blue card stock that I sponged with white craft ink.

The other supplies include a BIA, post it notes and small calendars.

Virgo -- Orange you glad it is summer?!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope that you are all doing well.  The weather is warm and the forcast is calling for thunderstorms every evening this week.  That is pretty typical for Maryland weather this time of the year.

I designed this card for Queen Kat, click here for the web site.  She has some exciting new artist stamps, fun images and even some that walk on the dark side of the inky spectrum.

Virgo and Sagitarius are in the house.  You see my astrological sign is Sagitarius and I have no idea how the two would get along, today, they are in perfect Orange harmony.

I hope you are all doing well, stamp happy, be a blessing!

mini album swap and haul with Video slide show

Thanks to Mary I can finally fold these adorable shirts.  I have been trying to perfect them for years and couldn't figure out what the heck I was doing wrong, now they seem very easy!

I participated in a swap on this websight,  My partner was Leticia, as you can see from the video slide show above, she went all out to make a name badge mini book as well as include many wonderful goodies.  I hope you will come join us on the My Scraproom websight and have fun swapping and chatting.

I also visited Hobby Lobby, I did take advantage of their stock up paper sale for myself and I have Gina (Scraproom's leader extra-ordinary) paper package almost ready to ship.

Please email me at Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com if you have questions.  Click here for my youtube site.  Don't forget to subscribe and comment here and on the youtube channel.

Queen Kat on Tuesday -- New Release Maigan Lynn!

Hi everyone!  Thanks for joining me today for a new Excting relase from Artist Maigan Lynn and Queen Kat Stamps.

video

These stamps actually released on June 11, 2011, so don't miss out on these wonderful images!

I had a really fun time coming up with two new ways to use two old ideas.

The flowers on the card are made from Aluminum foil.  I cut them out using my die cutter and the metal adhesive from tombo.  They got a bit squashed, but you get the idea.  The other flower is made from a piece of transparency film and glued together with platinum bond 7800 from Aleenes' adhesive.

I hope you will enjoy these projects. Join me again next week for more Queen Kat stamps!

Name badge mini swap

I created this beautiful mini album using ordinary Name badge holders.

This swap idea came from the leader of My Scrap Room, Gina.  I thought this was a great idea.  Over all I left the interior pages pretty plain and simple with just some ribbon and trim to dress up the ends.

My name badge holders were actually ATC size (2 1/2" X 3 1/2") and I trimmed down the paper to fit inside.   The binding is two simple note book binding rings dressed up with different ribbons.

I used my new Sizzix, Bag, Caddy #657123 to cut the decorative holder for the mini.  I went to town decorating the outside of the box.  I used some I am roses flowers, A shrink plastic 3-D butterfly and also a small lady bug stamp also shrank with Shrinky Dink plastic.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Enjoy this video slide show!

June 4th Marlene Shaw squigglefly release!

June 4th release artist Marlene Shaw

This adorable image is from Squiggle fly and is just the perfect card for a masculine forgotten birthday!

It happens to us all, so why not make an adorable card to say sorry for missing the big day and a great place to tuck in a nice gift card.

This card measures 5"X5" square.  I used dimensionals to pop up the layers.  The paper is from K&Company.  I took advantage of the double sided paper to do the layers.  It works out perfectly since there is no work on my part, it is already matched for me!

Please visit the Squigglefly digital store for this wonderful digi and many  more.

Have a great day!  Stamp Happy!

Scrappy and Stampy haul

Hi Stampers!!

When given an opportunity, like most girls, I love to shop! I did two seperate purchases online last week and both of them arrived today.

I also have a fairly large order from I am roses on the way.  I love their flowers!

Please stay tuned tomorrow for updated house, fence and deck projects, everything is finally coming together.  Our puppies are looking like they may just like having a fenced in yard.

Here is a trivia question for you, did you guys know I have not had a fenced yard since I was a little girl?  The fence just looks fantastic.

Have a great day, now, honestly, I'm going to clean up my stampy scrappy mess!  Stamp Happy!
