A sample of the kit of the month!

Hello my crafting friends!

Above is a sample of a kit of the month.  Each kit will contain enough materials to do two complete projects.  Each one has two accessory packs which include things like ribbon, die cuts, stamped images, glitter, dew drops and other fun stuff.  It is also packaged in a cute way.  If you choose to purchase the kit of the month, I am now going to discount the price to $5.00.  This will cover shipping cost only.  The kit is a retail value of approximately $10.00

A few questions I have been asked by you, my readers are "Can I order more than one kit", the answer is yes, and the shipping cost for up to five sets is still $5.00, over that and I will quote you a price for the shipping.

Another question that has been asked is "What is in each kit', I covered that question in the opening statement of today's blog post.  The kit pictured above uses a Sizzix die called a suitecase. It does resemble a minature suitecase.

The last frequently asked question is "Can I request certain items be included in my kit?" The answer is YES!  That is right, I will allow you to pick from the following available treat dies;

Suite Case, Pie Box, or Bag with handles choice of your favorite colors, They will be shipped partially pre-assembled for your ease of folding when you receive them.

First mini blog winner will be drawn on August 5th, the first winner will be receiving a huge lot of ribbon!  Good luck and don't forget to read my blog and comment often.

Have a wonderful weekend, stamp happy!

Wash fold repeat!

Stamp credits,
Lockhart Stamp Co.
Paper:  Bazzill
DCSW patterned paper
Colored with copic markers

I really loved the way this card came out, I wanted the cards to all have the yello polka dot paper, but did not have enough of it to make six cards, I do really love the flower patterned paaper with the purple accents, and have to admitt my long time hate relationship with the color purple seems to have eabated.

On a side note, don't forget to check out yesterday's post and announcement, click here.  Until I can put an icon on the blog wall for the KOTM (Kit of the month) Please use the tip Jar and note that the $8.00 is for the kit, this way I can keep things straight.  Please make sure that your mailing address on paypal is correct as this is the address I will use to send your kit out.  If you don't want to use that mailing address, please send me an email to:  Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com and put Mailing address for KOTM in the subject line.

This post also gives instructions on how blog candy will work over the next several months, it will only grow larger if more people follow and leave comments here for me.

On a side note, I received my order of Our Daily Bread .  Please click their name to view their websight.

Oh my goodness, I have been spending way to much time enjoying the many video's coming out of CHA this week, I swear I may have to get a job just to support my habbit.  I love the new nestabilities dies and the possibilities the larger dies are going to give to the home crafter!  Check out Stamp TV for up to the minute videos and fun stuff with Gina K.

Have a great Friday,   Stamp Happy!

New -- Kit of the month for August and Mini Blog candy!

Just a few more days until August, and I am starting off the month with a few exciting changes.

First of all, I want to let you know the August kit of the month will be a surprise, the cost of the kit will be $8.00 and the overall retail value of each kit will exceed $10.00.  There will be many surprises in each kit.  Please email me privately at ms.rhetta@gmail.com and I can quote you a price for the kit that is only shipping.  I do not expect for you guys to pay for a kit if for some reason (which will remain between you and I) you are unable to do so.

The fee coveres my expenses in materials and shipping, it also allows me to put in a few extra things and surprises including embellishments and completed mini projects for your enjoyment.

Ok, onto the new "mini" blog candy.  Randomly EVERY WEEK I will put all the comment names in a hat and draw for a  mini blog prize,  Each of those winners will be put into a hat and at the end of September (around the 30th) a large blog candy give away then.  The more you comment the more chances to win, increase your odds by posting my blog link to yours and explaining the rules.

I am not sure if you guys are keeping up with CHA events and announcements, but I am head over heals in love with the new Spellbinders grand dies, I already have a large and extensive list of the new dies.  Now I am thinking about seriously increasing my own collection of dies and purchasing the new Sizzix Pro machine.  I will be selling off my Big Shot (without a multipurpose platform) this is the manual black machine and is was barely used.  I chose to use the more efficent and easier Big Shot Express which is the electric machine.  If you are interested in purchasing the big shot machine for $90.00 with flat rate shipping, let me know via email.

Please feel free to ask any questions and go ahead and start placing your orders for August Kit of the month, as I receive five or more orders they will be drop shipped to  your address. Paypal only, use the link on the side bar for the purchase.

Coming Soon!  Custom Scrapbook supplies, books, materials and stamped images,  I am always happy to stamp some images using memento tuxedo black ink (Copic friendly) for you, all you have to do is ask!  I would as only that you leave a tip in my tip jar for the amount of postage it takes to mail them to you.

Have a great Thrusday afternoon, and please let me know what you think.

Stamp happy and many Blessings my friends!

Birthday Greetings

Happy Sunday Friends!

I hope this day has brought you joy and peace.  It has been a wonderful day in my Sunny home in Maryland.  Did you know that I am praising the Lord for the soon blessing of rain.  I hear the thunder and I see the sky turning a forbidding gray.

***
Shortly after starting this post, Mike rushed to the top of the stairs to let me know he was going to get Chad.  I immediately went up the stairs to get a flashlight.  I didn't have that flashlight in my hands 5 seconds before the power went out.  We where without power from about 3:45 pm until early this morning -- probally around 3:00 am.  The really sad thing is that we didn't get much rain out of the storm, just a hot muggy night.
***
Today I have a violin lesson.  I plan to leave out early enough to go to the thrift store.  I didn't buy much in the way of shorts and am finding that the ones I have from previous years are throughly worn out. Besides we have a beach trip coming up, I would like some "new to me" things.

**
The Birthday/ goinging away present is for my friend Tracy who is leaving with her family to go to Alaska.  She is a very sweet lady and inspite of any differences we have had in the past, I find her truthfulness, honesty and concern very comforting and I consider her to be a true friend.  I will miss her.

Have a great day, and I hope to get some fun stamping time in.

Stamp happy,

Owl be thinking of you -- a never ending card.

Last flip -- back of card
Third flip
Second flip
First flip/front of card **
Every time I make a never ending card, I seriously question my own sanity. I necer really start off with one thinking "umm, I'll make this one in xyz theme today". Generally speaking, they take on a life of their own keeping in mind what I happen to have out on my desk at any given time.
***
It must be an orange and golden yellow kick. I sure am drawn towards these bright colors this week! This really started with my playing with the new stamping up punch, the little owl that I poped off the card using black dimensionals.
**
I will be bringing the card and cute mini note pad to my group counseling appointment this week.
**
Last week's party/session was such a huge success that when it is time for e to finish up my sessions (in about 6 weeks) I plan to bring something special for everyone!
**
So, here are a few things about the feeling of today's card.
  1. When you have time on your hands, put them together and pray.
  2. Be the person who changes everything in some one else's life. Your own life will be blessed.
  3. Be true to yourself and believe in the power of your dreams. Even when you don't see a point, know that the blessings to come will come down like a welcome shower of rain on a super hot summer day.

**

Speaking of rain, our dry parched neighborhood received very welcome thunder storms and nice heavy steady rain last evening. You could hear our vegtables and grass raising up and praising the Lord for the bounty of the blessing.

**

Blog candy will be drawn on July 22, so please remember to get those comments in, tell your friends and spread the word! Thanks to all whom have emailed, signed up as followers and left positive and encouraging feedback!

**

Have a wonderful Monday night, we will be enjoying our first Bacon,Lettuce,Tomato sandwiches using our own lettuce and tomatoes! I am so excited about a sandwich I'm getting pretty excited thinking about every mouth watering bite!

Stamp Happy, Be a blessing to someone today!

New storage --- reminder blog candy until July 22 -- LOTS OF PICTURES!

Hello my crafty friends!
*** Here it is, isn't it grand? Do you see what is under the skirt? It is a Craftsmen tool chest. I bought it from a guy in Bethsda, Maryland on Monday. It was $150.00. A similiar one is over $300 + and this baby is built to last. It is storing my large sizzix dies and I just love it.
** I covered the nit with a skirt which is velcroed in place. I will need to reinforce the joints with some safety pins to keep everything neat, but that shouldn't be hard to do.
**
The punch art is from stampin up and I just love it, I made a "beak" out of an orange sticky note and added google eyes for more fun and movement. It is embellished with scraps of patterned paper and glitter. They are not difficult to make, just a bit time consuming.
**
Blog candy continues until July 22, so get those comments posted! Remember it is over a $120/value.
**
I hope you guys have a great weekend, enjoy the pictures and I'll enjoy my space! It has so opened up an other wise crowded - tight basement and I am so pleased with the results.

Party Time!

Hello my Crafty Friends!
**
Here are the party favors for a birthday party with my group therapy session next Tuesday night. One of our members (it is an all girl group) will celebrate her 20Th birthday.
**
It must be pretty obvious I have spent my share of years as room Mother, VBS and Sunday School Mother not to mention the countless Shoe box swaps, Stamping Parties, Birthday and celebration gigs I've catered favors for over the years.
***
This is a sizix box with handles die, I cut it from very inexpensive (on the markdown at my Michael's store). Before I assembled the boxes, they where sponged with Only Orange ink from Stampin up. I really love the added dimension the sponging gives to this project. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Inkadinkado, it was actually part of a larger stamp that I cut apart so I could use it as part or whole.
***
The scalloped paper is punched from green and orange card stock and also sponged with the orange ink. The bags are filled with candies, glow sticks and a fun little wind up chattering teeth toy. I know this is a party for adults, but the suggestion of keeping it simple and silly -- meant I just couldn't resist.
***
Please spread the word about my blog, a picture of the current blog candy is on the right side bar, it also includes $25 (not shown) gift card or cash. Which ever the winner prefers.
***
Stay tuned for more fun projects, and thank you for joining me today. Stay cool, and Stamp Happy! Much love!

Have a bright day!

I hope you all enjoyed a nice 4th of July holiday weekend. We stayed close to home, enjoyed shotting some fireworks, eating water mellon and enjoying smoked chicken wings, bbq ribs and other delicious traditional holiday foods. ** I made the card above for my mother. We have been at odds for many years and after speaking with one of her sisters, I decided to write her a little note to just let her know that I was thinking of her. Sometimes you just have to be the bigger person. ** I am so excited I received a large order from My favorite things stamps on Saturday, I'm having a great time playing with them. I really love their pure innocence stamps, the images are just simply adorable, fun to color, layer and use in may applications. *** Once Chad *finally* wakes up we are going to head out and do a little shopping, I have promiced him that we would go to Walmart so he can spend some of his gift cards. It is always fun to take him out with me,, he is a really witty kid and fun to be around. *** Don't forget about blog candy, picture on side view, and remember there is also $25 in the pot. PLEASE PUT MY CANDY ON YOUR SIDE BAR, encourage folks to come visit me with your posts as well, I'd really like to see 10X more comments than I am currently receiving. *** Have a great week, enjoy the summer stay cool and safe. Stamp Happy!

One Honor Roll Kid

Here is his folks, all 6 feet 3" of him. He did it, he made the honor roll for the ENTIRE YEAR! I couldn't be more proud if I tried!
We treated him out to dinner at Pasta Plus here in Laurel. As usual the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. The company was fantastic, it is so nice to begin seeing Chad as a young adult instead of a child. He has grown so quickly and his intelligence never cease to amaze me!
Don't forget blog candy is still on the table, I'll post some new projects (I am doing gifts for my group therapy session ladies as a surprise). Mostly I am making some altered post it note holders using my bind it all machine, fun papers and embellishments.
Today is going to be dedicated to finishing up my mountain of laundry so I don't have to worry about it during the long weekend!
I hope you are all doing well. Stamp Happy and stay safe!
