Two pretty and cute cards!

Hello my friends!
**
Today has been a very quiet but nice day here! The weather is starting to cool off just a bit and it is a great day for stamping!
***
My sweet husband let me sleep in this morning. I have been putting off cleaning the upstairs bathroom all week, he cleaned it for me this morning and let me sleep. I slept until almost 11:00 am, I felt so refreshed when I woke up. I haven't slept well all week and it was so nice to get a good night's rest!
****
Both of todays cards are simple. I used simple layering and embossing ribbon and the sentiment. One is a birthday random act of kindness card and the other is for my little sister this round of Divine secret sisters on splitcoast stampers.
****
Blog candy until September 10,2009. A reminder in the pot is $25 in cash, rub on alphabet, and chipboard tags. I am also including a pie box filled with candies and (*new) 20 clear stamps from Hampton Arts called "Who Loves You", a cute owl themed set with many possibilities for great cards and scrapbook pages!

Blog mascot gets a make over!

Hello my crafting friends!
***
As you can see my blog mascot has turned into a fairy princess! I found this adorable fairy outfit at my local craft store on sale and bought it for Elizabeth. I made her magic wand from a a long skinny dowel. The star is cut from holographic paper from Crayola. You may not be able to see in the picture, but I also embossed the star.
***
Her head band was pretty plain so I used a butterfly clip a friend gave me to embellish it. The ribbon on the wand is from my stash and is embellished with jewels, also from the craft store. The entire project only took me about 10 minutes to complete.
***
I was very encouraged by Amanda's Halloween goodies that I made a few of my own. She had a bit more detail than do mine, but it was my first try at making these adorable book place keepers. I am looking forward to some more fun projects.
***
The bug one I made from left over materials from making the spinner never ending cards. I have completed three of the cards and have three more to complete. I am participating in a swap on splitcoast and am so glad they aren't due to my hostess until late November!
***
I hope every one had a great day. My Meade girlfriends are participating in a Shoe box swap in Baltimore, Maryland today. Unfortunately, I had previous plans that exempted me from all the fun! I am looking forward to seeing all the great cards and projects they where able to complete!
***
I hope you enjoyed today's projects! Remember blog candy continues until September 10, which is my second blog anniversary. In the pot are $25.00, an altered pie box filled with goodies, rub on alphabet letters and chip board tags. Leave comments any where on the blog for your chance to win!

A new fancy dancy never ending card!

This is the front of the card
This is the first flip This is the second flip
This is the third flip and the back, yes the spinner works!
Hi Crafty people!
I really enjoy making never ending cards!
I am enjoying a card swap on Splitcoast stampers called movers and shakers, I am planning to do five more of this type of card. I also plan to do them all a bit different from the one before. I added many elements to this project to include more dimension, fun embellishments and moving pieces!
Read this part carefully! There is as of today a change in blog candy. Don't worry as of right now there is $25.00 and an altered item in the candy pot, I am changing the date for the drawing to September 10. Why you ask? That is my second blog anniversary and I'm celebrating by giving you goodies!
Today's addition to blog candy is a surprise, you'll have some metal goodies for you to enjoy!
Have a great night! Stamp Happy my friends!

Just buggy, a cute Pin project!

Before I get to this project, I want to thank Mary for this blogger award:
I also got the same award from Vicki. Thank you so much ladies!
To accept this award I had to do a few things:
First I needed to thank the person who nominated me for this award and include a link to her blog, which I have already done above.
Then I need to list seven things about me that people might find interesting and then nominate seven Kreativ Bloggers, posting links to the seven blogs that I nominate, and then leave comments on all seven blogs letting them know I nominated them.
So, here are the seven (hopefully) interesting things about me:
1. I play violin.
2. I broke my leg because of my dog.
3. I love tomatoes.
4. My favorite color is mauve pink and green.
5. I love all paper crafting.
6. I love photography, but am lousy at it!
7. I really like spending time with my family!
My nominees in no particular order are:
Mary Dawn: The designer with the most!
Marisol: My little sis from a few rounds back of secret sisters, great stamping up girl! Cambria; What cute projects to be found here!
Beatte: She has such great projects!
Chat: She is so creative, I love her blog!
Dawn: Great video tutorials! Malisa's: She has fun projects here as well as step by step instructions!
***** Now onto today's project. This little bug is a Hampton Arts Studio stamp, I stamped him three times, twice on acetate (a transparency) and embossed with black embossing powder, and once onto green card stock. Also embossed. ***
Using crystal lacquer, I attached the card stock layer to the bugs body and layered everything on top. It is also the "glue" used to attach the google eyes. ****
The entire project took about 4 minutes to complete, you can do a bunch of them in a short amount of time. Now to think of a price point, since I would like to sell these.
***
Have a great evening, and think out side of the box and the card, make something 3 dimensional!

In Shades of blue!

Hi my crafty friends!
****
Today's project is very easy and straight forward.
***
I used an acrylic photo frame that measures 3 X 5" purchased fro my local craft store, I layered the patterned paper inside. Then on top I placed an extra large prima flower which I used stickles to embellish then the sticky note is attached with red-line tape. It is simply finished with green dew drops and a pretty blue stitched ribbon.
*****
For the card, I followed a simple grid pattern to create what I feel is a really pretty card. Instead of my cherry blossoms being pink, I turned them blue. I simply used my regular water based ink markers to color directly onto the rubber. Then I used my spellbinders dies to cut out the two scallops. All of the edges are sponged with a Stamping up ballet blue ink. Of course it is also embellished with stickles! Don't forget blog candy continues!

Have a wonderful day! Stamp Happy!

It's a piece of pie! (Blog candy continues)

Hello Stampers!
Its a piece of Cherry pie with a cherry on top!
***
Don't you just love this? I actually bought the pie die from this web sight, click here.
****
I also used the Sizzix Cupcake & Ice Cream die (38-0998) that is retired. If you own this die or would like some cup cakes and ice cream die cuts, they are free, just tell me colors or send materials and I'll gladly cut them for FREE. Just pay for return shipping. Email information is on my side bar so just drop me a line if you are interested.

What do you guys think about a 'kit' club. Basically I would chose one to three projects and feature them on the blog. I all you would need to do is send me your mailing information and I would send you off a kit. The kits will not be exact duplicates of what I show on the blog just due to supply limitations. If you need more than just one kit for doing goodies for an event, just let me know and I'll quote you a price and customize to your needs. Donations will be appreciated but not necessary. Lets face it it will only cost a couple of postage stamps. Please leave feedback for this idea via the comment section and email.
*****
Edit! After the already over whelming feedback and emails, I will offer this as my first kit of the month, if you want the supplies to make this for yourself, send me a self addressed stamped envelope, email me for the address! Sorry for the quality of the video, #1 Chad (aka camera guy) wasn't in the mood to shoot it and #2 I forgot to turn on my "studio" lights. I hope you get the idea anyway. I promice the next one will be better.
*****
I finally heard from my Airman Craig today. Several factors, mainly he is a bit un-organized and couldn't find his cell phone charger. He apparently finally found it after tidying up his area. I'm thinking he needs to stay active duty for a while and remember the basics from basic training!
*****
One of these boxes filled with goodies is now part of blog candy. It will be similar to the one pictured above. So that is one pie box and $25.00 blog candy at current.
*****
I hope every one is enjoying a beautiful day. Stamp Happy!

Patriotic Altered Clip board -- don't forget about blog candy!

Hello my crafty fun friends!
What a great few days! Sunday and today I was able to get some house work and laundry finished up. Hey, I had to get my chores done so I could grab some fun stamping time.
****
The image on the altered clipboard is from House Mouse. I used my copic markers to color the image. The clipboard was purchased from my local craft store. I used patriotic themed scrapbook paper. Before applying the paper, I used Red acrylic paint to paint the clipboard then once it was dry used a home made decoupage medium to apply the paper. I carefully removed bubbles using a bone folder.
*****
Don't forget $25.00 is the first item of blog candy this month, leave your comments on my blog any where you would like. I will certainly be adding to this pot as we play along!
*****
I've applied to be come a design team member for DZ doodles, if you would like to view their call, please click here. You can also visit Kim's blog by clicking here.
*****
My Airman, Craig will be the recipient of the altered clip board, he has requested a new 'goody' box from mom. I guess it is a good thing he enjoys getting stamped cards and goody. I've almost finished his box. Hopefully everything will be totally dry and ready to mail tomorrow.

Have a great night and Stamp Happy my friends!

Mini SBS swap card

Hello Stampers!

***

I kept the layout and coloring of this card simple. It is for a mini shoe box swap on August 15.

***

The basic recipe is: Black card stock base is 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" folded. The mossy green card stock which I ran through my big shot measures it measures 4" X 5 1/4"

***

The image is layered on top of gran and yellow card stock and is sponged around the edges. I used my copic markers, C1,C2,C3,C4 and BV13 to color the image. The sentiment is stamped on top of a scallop that measures 1 3/8". The scallop piece is popped up with pop dots and the card is embellished with stiched green ribbon.

I hope you are all staying cool! Please be safe, and stamp happy!

Altered clipoard for Ms. Vivian

Hello to my crafty friends!
Now that I am some what recovered from my adventures at the pizza place yesterday, I am into some stamping fun.
I started this project with a store bought wooden clipboard. I used papers from Cosmo Cricket to decorate the front and back. The large flower is a Prima flower purchased during the fun Amish stamp store tour.
My favorite part of the project is the ribbon I used for embellishment. It adds a fun whimsy to the project. I will be sending this to Ms. Vivian. I get the privilege of being her senior angel!
Blog candy will begin again soon with a fall/Halloween theme. I hope you'll stop by again soon to see what I've been up too!

At Great risk to life and limb -- Meade Grils Party On!

Hello Everyone!
***
I attended a Birthday party for Tracy, Amanda and Michelle today at our local CiCi's pizza place. Chad my youngest joined me. I was able to meet some more local stampers and have a wonderful time!
***
I didn't think we could have been any louder or laughed harder if we tried. They stuck us in a far corner of the restaurant. The manager had everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to all three girls at separate times. It was hilarious.
***
I especially loved the birthday girl's head dresses. My favorite was the ribbon one.
***
I am sure there will be some funny pictures of me (mostly chewing) on this blog. I hope they will share the files with me, I would love to have a few pictures for my personal scrapbook.
